1. A brilliant talk from TED 2009, in which security expert Marcus Ranum explains how seemingly tiny errors in early protocol design and implementation have propagated into major security issues today. Turns out it would have been much easier to code review and correct FTP and other protocols, than to spawn a multi-billion dollar industry creating tools to protect against attacks that take advantage of those flaws. Yes, the irony is so thick you can spread it.
2. As an IT admin you are probably often debugging browser issues with your end users or customers. Here is a quick site which you can send to them that extracts and sends to you detailed information on the browser setup called SupportDetails. Try it out.

3. Virtual Desktops on Windows
Desktops allows you to organize your applications on up to four virtual desktops. Read email on one, browse the web on the second, and do work in your productivity software on the third, without the clutter of the windows you’re not using. After you configure hotkeys for switching desktops, you can create and switch desktops either by clicking on the tray icon to open a desktop preview and switching window, or by using the hotkeys.
